Letter From Membership Vice President

Dear Potential New Member, 

From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it, from the inside looking out, you can never explain 

it. The saying couldn’t be more true. Sorority life and Greek life in general truly changes the way you see 

things. Year round, UCO Greek life does amazing things for its school, community, one another and 

philanthropies. My favorite day throughout the year is Bid Day. This day beats my birthday, Christmas 

and all of the other holidays that we celebrate. As a PNM, you are about to go “home” to one hundred 

some of your newest best friends. You may have already met these women throughout recruitment, but 

little do you know that these are about to become your sisters, best friends, a shoulder to cry on and 

your lifelong friends. 

The day I came home to Alpha Xi Delta was life changing. My sisters had welcomed me with smiles, tears 

and open arms. I finally felt like I had found a group of women who understood me, valued me and 

would push me to realize my potential for years to come. I quickly learned that Alpha Xi Delta was what I 

had always needed, but never knew I was missing. The past three years spent with Alpha Xi Delta has 

molded me into a woman that I am proud of. I am forever grateful to have found my biggest supporters 

and people who believe in me when I don’t believe in myself. Alpha Xi Delta isn’t just four years, but it’s 

for life.
